Proust’s Questionnaire

  1. What is your idea of perfect happiness? A loving family.
  2. What is your greatest fear? To lose the person I love the most : my mother, my siblins, my fiancé.
  3. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? My inconstancy.
  4. What is the trait you most deplore in others? Stupidity and lack of culture (I can’t choose which one annoy me the most).
  5. Which living person do you most admire? J.K Rowling, for her perseverance.
  6. What is your greatest extravagance? Moving to England.
  7. What is your current state of mind? Tired.
  8. What do you consider the most overrated virtue? Ambition.
  9. On what occasion do you lie? To protect the people I love.
  10. What do you most dislike about your appearance? My body.
  11. Which living person do you most despise? Michel Houellbecque, a french writer whom I think is a miserable human being, even if I appreciate some of his earlier books.
  12. What is the quality you most like in a man? Braveness.
  13. What is the quality you most like in a woman? Generosity.
  14. Which words or phrases do you most overuse? “Like”… ask my fiancé…
  15. What or who is the greatest love of your life? My future husband, of course – whatever what happens in my life hereafter. He is, and always will be, the love of my life.
  16. When and where were you happiest? A long time ago, I was at my aunt summer house, which fronts onto the beach. I woke up early in the morning. Everybody was sleeping. I went onto the terrace, and I realized that I felt very happy.
  17. Which talent would you most like to have? Beauty.
  18. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Everything – that’s one thing, right?
  19. What do you consider your greatest achievement? My website.
  20. If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? A pretty and clever girl.
  21. Where would you most like to live? In the US, somewhere hot.
  22. What is your most treasured possession? My engagement ring.
  23. What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? Being homeless.
  24. What is your favorite occupation? Reading. I read everyday.
  25. What is your most marked characteristic? My generosity, I think.
  26. What do you most value in your friends? Their true kindness
  27. Who are your favorite writers? J.K Rowling and  Stephen King, for modern authors. Maupassant, Hugo and Flaubert for the older ones.
  28. Who is your hero of fiction? Hermione Granger. Clever girl and brave. All in one.
  29. Which historical figure do you most identify with? Marie-Antoinette . I’m like her: I’m a bit sad in my new country so I make compulsive shopping ahahah.
  30. Who are your heroes in real life? My mother. Such a great and strong woman who made my childhood wonderful.
  31. What are your favorite names? Louis. I would like to give my son that name, if I’m lucky enough to have children one day.
  32. What is it that you most dislike? Stingy people.
  33. What is your greatest regret? To never been great in my law studies. I was ok.
  34. How would you like to die? In my sleep, and – if possible – after my husband. I don’t want him to wake-up next to a dead body.
  35. What is your motto? Dumbledore quote here: “We must all face the choice between what is right, and what is easy.”
