For many years now, I have Keratosis Pilaris (also know as chicken skin in my family) on the top of my arms. Nothing dramatic but enough for me to only wear longer sleeves to hide the issue.
It was something I had accepted to suffer of and did not think that it could be fixed. Few years ago, I started to come across a lot of videos on Youtube talking about the brand Cerave and in particluar the Smoothing Cream, developed for dry, rough and bumpy skin. I finally bought a jar when a good friend of mine told me that it was the best cream she had tried for this kind of skin issue.
I started to use it and realized that I could not use it on my entire body: it gave me a bit of a rash where my skin does suffer of Keratosis Pilaris. After a couple of days, I started to use it only on my arms and can now – after over a year of continuous use – give you my review.
This thick smoothing body cream is composed of lactic and salicylic acid which are great ingredients to – chemically – exfoliate the skin. It has good resultus on my arms and has greatly improved the look of my skin even if my Keratosis Pilaris has not quite completely disapeared. The cream is quite thick and non greasy at all.
The product is a little more pricey than most of drugstore body butter but a pot lasts me quite a while as I use it only once a day on my arms. It quickly became a staple in my bathroom.
If you are looking for a exfoliationg body cream to get ride of your chicken skin, you can definitely give it a try!
