Thought of the month – February 2024

What a start to the year it has been!

The year started with a business trip to Lisbon, Portugal, which was pretty enjoyable overall. Lisbon’s got its charm with those tiled walls and old streets, despite the less-than-ideal weather. While the trip there unfolded seamlessly, the return journey was marked by a series of delays – from late plane departures due to the fog to frantic dashes to catch the final train home. Nevertheless, I have managed to read the fantastic Lessons in Chemestry by Bonnie Garmus during my plane journeys.

I’ve been sticking to my exercise routine diligently in January (and so far in February), making progress towards a healthier lifestyle and shedding some pounds along the way. However, it came at the expense of my blogging and reading time, which are things I plan to prioritize more in the upcoming weeks.

The kitchen has been a bustling hub of activity throughout January, following my recent exploration of farmhouse cooking. Every moment spent cooking has been a joy and continue to be. A recent acquisition of the complete set of cooking books from the National Trust (purchased second-hand of course) has enabled me to master traditional English dishes, adding a delightful twist to my traditional French culinary repertoire.

Looking forward to seeing what February has in store for me. I’m particularly excited to continue pursuing my journey towards a healthier living and my different hobbies.

And you? What are you expecting for February?
